New outdoor programming begins June 13 and invites residents to gather, move, and connect along the Huron River
ANN ARBOR, MI — The Lower Town Riverfront Conservancy today announced the launch of its 2026 Summer Wellness Series at Broadway Park West, bringing free outdoor yoga and Pilates classes to the Ann Arbor community from June 13 – August 29.
Broadway Park West represents the Conservancy’s first major initiative along the Huron River and marks ongoing efforts to create a vibrant, welcoming public space for the Ann Arbor community. The new wellness series is among the first community programs designed to activate the park and introduce visitors to all that Broadway Park West has to offer.
“We envisioned Broadway Park West as more than a destination — it is a place where people can come together, enjoy the outdoors, and create lasting connections,” said Alex Milshteyn, President of the Lower Town Riverfront Conservancy. “These free wellness classes are an exciting first step in bringing that vision to life and establishing the park as a gathering place for the entire community.”

Park Accessibility
While the park’s surrounding structures are under construction, there is no vehicle access to Broadway Park West. The park remains accessible by foot and bicycle via the following routes:
- Through the tunnel off Depot Street, which provides direct connection to the park
- Over the newly installed Broadway Bridge spanning the Huron River, which connects the park to the Border to Border (B2B) Trail, providing east-west access from Ypsilanti to Dexter.
Visitors are encouraged to use public parking spaces surrounding the development and access the park on foot or by bicycle during this period.
